Twelve-way Radial Match Part 6




Step 18:  Secure all pieces with veneer tape on the veneer tape side.  Use the triangle as described in step 16 to redraw the final cut for the matching edges for the left and right assembly.  Place each assemble under a straightedge and carefully make the final cut.  Try to cut the edge in such a way as to just “kiss” the points.  Join the left and right assembly with blue tape and veneer tape as shown at the left:


Step 19:  Place a circle template over the taped assemble and cut the assembly into a circle.

Step 20:  Number each sheet 1 – 12 on the short grain border veneer.  Before taping the bundle together, take sheet 1 and lay it under the circle as shown below.  Position the sheet under the circle as shown in the drawing.  Carefully draw lines on sheet 1 that extent the radial lines out from the center of the circle as shown in the drawing.


Step 21:  With sheet 1 oriented as shown below, mark the left side A and the right side B.
